A great admirer of Ormeasco di Pornassio Lupi.
Vermentino Lupi in the stellar cast of a Hollywood cult film.
At the age of 24, Tommaso Lupi decided to follow his passion, bought a beautiful 14th century building and transformed it into a modern, state-of-the-art winery, where we still make several D.O.C. wines today.
Tommaso Lupi's far-sighted intuition went outside the box of Ligurian white wine-making. He was the first to devote great attention to Pigato, making it the first Ligurian white wine suitable for ageing.
His experiments with ageing Pigato gave rise to Vignamare, aged for at least two years, which we like to call 'Super Ligurian'. It’s our brand's star and has won prestigious awards.
It stemmed from the desire to preserve the brand of a company that is a symbol of Ligurian wine and to raise it even greater heights. Tradition and continuity with the past is guaranteed by our oenologist Alex Berriolo, who continues to be in charge of the winery's wine production.
We strive to preserve not only the culture of 'Pigato di Albenga', which we produce in the vineyards of Cà de Berta in Salea and Cà de Pria in Campochiesa, but also the historic D.O.C. wines, such as Vermentino, Rossese and Ormeasco di Pornassio, which we cultivate in our historic 'BRAJE' vineyard in Pornassio.
