Rossese Luigi Bianchi Carenzo - Lupi
Riviera Ligure di Ponente D.O.C.
Rossese Grape Variety
Vigna di Cervo (IM)
Rossese is a native red grape variety that has been grown mainly in western Liguria since the late 18th century.
It is said that Napoleon, a guest of the Doria marquises in 1794, was so impressed by it that he requested it be shipped to Paris.
In the 1970s, Luigi Bianchi Carenzo began producing his wine in Diano San Pietro, in the province of Imperia, on the inland hills, an area extremely suited to viticulture and olive growing.
